Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client," "you," or "your") and Light Cut Productions ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of our website at lightcutproductions.ca and all services provided by Light Cut Productions, including real estate media production, website design and development, and creative production services.
By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the website or use our services.
Services
Light Cut Productions provides the following categories of services:
- Real Estate Media: HDR photography, cinematic video tours, aerial drone footage, virtual tours, floor plans, on-camera dialogue, and related media production for real estate listings.
- Website Design & Development: Custom website design, development, hosting setup, search engine optimization, analytics, and ongoing website maintenance.
- Creative Production: Business video marketing, social media content creation, drone videography and photography, wedding and event coverage, social media management, and related creative services.
Specific services, deliverables, timelines, and pricing will be outlined in a project proposal or agreement provided prior to the commencement of work.
Booking & Scheduling
Consultations and service appointments may be booked through our website or by contacting us directly. By booking a consultation or service, you agree to provide accurate information and to be available at the agreed-upon time. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments with reasonable notice.
Pricing & Payment
- All prices listed on our website are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated.
- Pricing is subject to change without notice. However, agreed-upon project pricing will be honoured for the duration of that project.
- A deposit may be required before work begins, as outlined in the project proposal.
- Final payment is due upon delivery of completed work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- For website services, monthly maintenance fees apply after the initial complimentary period as specified in your package.
- Late payments may incur additional fees and may result in suspension of services or withholding of deliverables.
Project Process & Timelines
We strive to deliver all projects within the timelines communicated at the start of each engagement. Delivery timelines depend on the scope of work, client responsiveness, and availability of required materials. Delays caused by the client (such as late feedback, missing content, or scheduling conflicts) may extend the project timeline and are not the responsibility of Light Cut Productions.
Client Responsibilities
To ensure smooth delivery of services, clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and timely information, content, and materials required for the project
- Providing access to properties, locations, or digital accounts as needed
- Reviewing and providing feedback on drafts and deliverables within a reasonable timeframe
- Ensuring that any content or materials provided to us do not infringe on third-party rights
Intellectual Property & Licensing
- Ownership: Light Cut Productions retains ownership of all creative works, including photographs, videos, website code, and design files, until full payment has been received.
- License: Upon full payment, you are granted a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use the delivered materials for their intended purpose as outlined in the project agreement.
- Portfolio Rights: Light Cut Productions reserves the right to display completed work in our portfolio, website, social media, and marketing materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Website Code: For website projects, you receive full ownership of your website and its content upon final payment. However, proprietary templates, frameworks, or code libraries developed by Light Cut Productions remain our intellectual property.
Revisions & Modifications
Revision policies vary by service and package:
- Real Estate Media: Minor edits (colour correction, cropping) are included. Major re-shoots or extensive editing beyond the original scope may incur additional charges.
- Website Design: Revisions during the design and development process are included as outlined in your package. Unlimited revisions are offered on most website packages during the active development phase.
- Creative Production: Revision rounds are specified in the project agreement. Additional revisions beyond the agreed scope may incur extra fees.
Cancellation & Refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing via email to info@lightcutproductions.ca.
- If you cancel before work has commenced, any deposit paid will be refunded minus a reasonable administration fee.
- If work has already begun, payment for completed work is non-refundable. A prorated refund may be issued for the uncompleted portion at our discretion.
- For real estate media shoots, cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- Monthly website maintenance subscriptions may be cancelled with 30 days written notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Light Cut Productions shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our services, website, or deliverables. Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Light Cut Productions, its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Force Majeure
Light Cut Productions shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, power outages, equipment failure, pandemic, government actions, or other unforeseen events.
Website Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website or its systems
- Use automated systems, bots, or scraping tools to extract content from the website
- Reproduce, distribute, or republish any content from the website without our express written permission
Third-Party Links

Governing Law
